Printed Game Schedules for School Use

Make the most of the downloadable Game Schedules from DragonFly.

Schools have many needs surrounding the game schedules for their athletic events. DragonFly is working hard to provide you with the best tools that we possibly can, but your school may need to make a few adjustments on the fly. This tutorial will share some helpful hints for adjusting game schedule downloads to best meet your school's needs.

How to Download a Game Schedule

1. Login to DragonFly and click "Game Schedules" in the left menu.

2. Apply the following filters to your Game Schedule view:

A. "School" (in this example - DF Test School 1)

B. "Sport" (in this example - Football)

C. "Level" (in this example - Varsity Football)

3. Apply a date range to your Game Schedule view:

A. For a full season, select multiple weeks of the calendar to capture all games.

B. For a single game, select only the date when that game will occur.

4. Click the actions button beside all of the filters. (Hint: The button looks like a series of three dots "...")

5. Click "Download CSV" and a CSV copy of the schedule on screen will be downloaded to your device. This file can be opened by any spreadsheet software (such as Excel or Numbers).

You can download a sample version of the CSV download here to see an example of the data provided. This data differs based on sports and officials positions designated for each game.

Adjusting Schedules to Meet Your Needs

1. Once you have your CSV downloaded, you'll notice that it includes a great deal of data, much of which may be unnecessary for you. You can edit and adjust this spreadsheet to accommodate what you need for your voucher. A few examples are shown below.

A. Example 1 - Full Season Home/Away Calendar

1. Removed Home School information, ID numbers, and official information.

2. Added "Home/Away" column and edited for correct information.

B. Example 2 - Full Season Officials Voucher

1. Removed School info, Game IDs, and other unnecessary information.

2. Added "Signature" columns beside each officials position.

C. Example 3 - Single Game Officials Voucher

1. Removed all columns except Home School, Away School, & Official's Positions

2. Added Signature Column to end of sheet

3. Adjusted Official's positions and names to be a single column for all officials

2. Each of the above examples was created in under 10 minutes, simply by adjusting a few bits of data from the downloaded schedule. The goal is to use the downloaded data to create the form that best meets your school's needs.

If your adjustments do not work correctly, you can always download the needed data again for a fresh start.
